Grand Tour with Algarve
Lisbon is the starting point for this Argon Travel tour. In one day, you will visit several points of interest that reveal all the architecture and history of the Portuguese city. Alfama, Baixa, Commerce Square, Rua Augusta, Rossio and Belém, where you can enjoy a famous Belém pastry. The tour goes to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent, and then to the well-known and enigmatic village of Sintra, where you will visit the Sintra National Palace, which brings together testimonies of medieval times and Moorish influence in Portugal. Also included in this grand tour is a visit to Azeitão for a visit to a traditional wine farm, with cheese and local wine tasting. And if you have time, you can still try a typical local sweet – an Azeitão pie. On the way to the Algarve, a short visit to Évora to visit one of the best-known monuments of the Alentejo city, the Roman Temple, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We enter the southern region through Albufeira, where you have free time to explore the city by the Atlantic. This is followed by a visit to Silves, Sagres and Faro, the administrative capital of the Algarve. Already in the Alentejo, there is a passage through Reguengos de Monsaraz, to visit the picturesque walled city and a local winery, and Castelo de Vide, one of the Portuguese border towns. Next is Tomar, Coimbra and Porto – where you can stroll along the Ribeira, D. Luís I Bridge, and visit a wine cellar in Vila Nova de Gaia. In the itinerary, and finally, a trip to Braga is scheduled for a visit to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, and to the city of Guimarães, the cradle of the Portuguese Nation that enchanted as European Capital of Culture in 2012.
