Italian Shrines
Argon Travel's tour of the Italian shrines begins in Rome, as the city is one of the most sought-after by devotees to the Catholic religion. It is in the eternal city that is the Vatican, the headquarters of the Catholic Church. The program also includes a walk through the most emblematic places, such as the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where you can admire the fresco of Miguel Ângelo. The experience goes towards Pietrelcina and San Giovanni Rotondo, important places in the life of the Italian saint Padre Pio, with a brief passage to Monte Sant'Angelo, for a visit to the sanctuary built in the rock, where Saint Michael the Archangel first appeared in 490 AD. The following destination: Cassia, a city forever marked by Santa Rita, where you can go to the sanctuary, including the basilica with the golden urn containing the saint's body. This is followed by Assisi for a visit to the shrine dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi, and Padua for a visit to the basilica in honor of St. Anthony, a famous Portuguese priest and preacher. The tour is a long, but there is still a must-see destination: Venice. Board with Argon Travel, in Punta Sabbioni, on a vaporetto towards the city of endless canals, including the iconic St. Mark's Square from which the gondolas depart. A suggestion: take a tour of Venice onboard these typical boats, the experience is unique.
